Kleenex Girl Wonder: Secret Thinking (Self-Released): Graham Smith is an underrated genius and he writes such relatable lyrics about love and relationships. This is really just an excuse to mention him because he happened to put out a record in 2011, but he's written so many good songs. Ponyoak (an album he put out in 1998) is probably the most sentimental album I'll ever own. No matter what I've moved on to, I come back to it every year. -- Peggy

EDITED shortly after initial post to add links. Graham told me to tell you that the canon of professional and amateur comedian-musicians is something you should pay close attention to if you want to know where his head is at sometimes these days.

Some will be useful, some will be thought experiments, and some will simply be tone poems.

We'll have more to announce shortly, but first we're officially spinning off Klccncx Girl Wonder, f/a/k/a Kleenex Girl Wonder, commonly spelled Kleenex Girl Wonder or KGW (abbrev., colloquial) into a separate teleological entity. Don't worry, there will still be KGW releases on Reesonable. It's just for policy things.

Reesonable is proud to announce the forthcoming release of "Secret Thinking," the 11th full-length album from Kleenex Girl Wonder.

The album will be released on March 8, 2011, through http://kgw.me and other major digital retailers.

There will be a deluxe physical version with a book containing lyrics (with annotations) and production notes.

The album will be available for digital-only purchase via kgw.me starting February 22nd.

Let's take a look at the main data points about "Secret Thinking."

• 10 anthemic, verbose, and potentially heart-rending rock tunes
• Recorded in an architectural landmark in Southern Illinois 
• Produced by Matt LeMay (Get Him Eat Him, The Capstan Shafts, Mr. Dream)
• Sounds like a real album by a real rock band

You may find the last data point confusing. Allow me to explain by way of a bit of KGW history.

Graham Smith created Kleenex Girl Wonder with a coterie of his high-school friends in suburban Chicagoland in the spring of 1994.

Graham and friends (mostly Graham since he had the least friends of all his friends and therefore the most free time) started churning out albums, 7" singles and EPs at a rapid clip, all recorded at home as opposed to in a fancy-schmancy studio.

"Secret Thinking" is the first album to buck that trend, adding professional arrangements and production to the trademark KGW sound.

In the past 15 years, KGW have toured the U.S. and Japan with a slowly-revolving lineup of ace musicians and spiritual advisors, as well as released 10 albums. Here's a list of full-length releases:
