Prologomena to Any Reasonable Reesonable.com Manifesto
I. Use
So, I (Tarzan LaFond-Wittgenstein, CMR, Reesonable.com) refuse to actually go through the BS associated with figuring out the actual legal ramifications of licensing its content via Creative Commons, I essentially (please do not abuse this clause qualifier, foreverafter clualifiser), the content of this site should all be considered fit for dissemination, reproduction, etc.
Ia. Exclusions
Any intellecutal property that can not reesonably [this clualifiser can be considered to be equivalent to: {the word "reasonably"} within {the Reesonable ethicsverse}] be considered as useful for promotional or marketing (foreverafter promarketal) purposes, that is, to assist in the spreading of word and the encouragement of artistic product purchase via approved points, can NOT be copied and pasted and used.
This means, essentially, don't copy and spread actual music files, etc. Encourage your friends to buy them. They (the products, not your friends) are cheap. And you may well be well rewarded.
Ib. Caveats/Catches (foreverafter caveatches)
If you are republishing something that will not eventually EVER make the reesonable.com community (which includes you, of course) ANY kind of money, try to make up for this financial debit via karmic means by including a link to our site. Reesonable.com homepage tends to be a good place to point.
II. http://rsnbl.com & http://l.rsnbl.com/xxxx
There are a few ways that shortlinks work for Reesonable.com.
First of all, rsnbl.com is interchangeable with reesonable.com (so are www.rsnbl.com and www.reesonable.com). So feel free to send links to friends by devoweling the core brand.
Also, each section has a short identifier.
So, e.g., the Video section of Reesonable.com could have lived at some ungodly long URL, but thanks to foresight and the rsnbl.com system, you can simply send someone to:
rsnbl.com/v
Most Twitter/etc. clients will recognize that as a URL, even without the http://.
Try it out, and have fun with it!
Also, we use Bit.ly via the domain L.RSNBL.COM. It also sometimes looks like l.rsnbl.com, since it is the same thing to a case-insensitive jerk (e.g. certain computer servers).
Also, we can set up custom shortlinks to any deep page on the site, and will probably do so.
For instance, each release will have it's own deeply linked entry in the Music section eventually, which will be referenced by the Reesonable.com catalog numbers.
For instance, Mrs. Equitone is http://rsnbl.com/r000 - there's no page live yet, but there will be, OH THERE WILL BE.

IV. Involvement
The first principle of reeson is that it is, except under duress, inclusionary. We want to release records that need releasing, even if we don't like them and/or nobody beyond a few hundred people want to listen to them.
The reasons for this will become obvious in the manifesto, which should release in 1H 2010 alongside the "Welcome." music sampler that you all will be able to enjoy.
